Membership Code of conduct: 8-1-09
When representing Carolina Sons of Liberty, we want to maintain standards that reflect that of our nation's founders. These patriots that are forever a part of our history put their heart and soul into what we have in our constitution. Therefore, adherence to the principles found in the Constitution serve as our primary guidelines with regards to conduct. We are free men and women who value individual liberties over "the good of the state" and believe that the purpose of a government should be to protect individual liberties and that is the limits of government control. We do not subscribe to the liberal-progressive ideology of individuality being second to the good of the state or the good of the government.
1) Articles 1-3 of the Constitution specifically state the responsibilities of the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches of our government. That which is not in the said articles are not the responsibility of the federal government. Carolina Sons of Liberty stands in opposition to any policy that oversteps those items listed in the Constitution as the federal government's responsibilities.
2) The Bill of Rights, along with all other Constitutional amendments listed in the U.S. Constitution, are the inherent rights of the American people. They are the listed items that all American citizens are guaranteed and government cannot take away. We stand opposed to any and all government interference and attempts to limit the inherent rights of the people.
3) The 10th amendment to the U.S. Constitution states that anything not listed as federal government responsibilities are the responsibility of the states. The federal government has no authority in state affairs except that listed in the articles of the Constitution.
4) Carolina Sons of Liberty is open to and will welcome anyone regardless of age, race, gender, religious beliefs, or economic status. Your rights as an American are extended to ALL Americans, and Carolina Sons of Liberty values the rights of all. When representing CSOL, discrimination will not be tolerated, and you may be subject to expulsion from the group if you practice discrimination while representing the group.
5) While representing the group, you represent the political platform that can be seen on the website's "about us" page.
6) While representing Carolina Sons of Liberty, obey the law. There is a difference in civil disobedience and criminal activity. Be vocal but not vulgar. We do not endorse criminal activity, nor do we tolerate obscenity by members.
